Mexico - Baja, California

(September 2014)

Mexico! I have always wanted to visit Mexico, as I wanted to dive Cenotes. It did not happen this trip, but even Baja, what Mexicans strictly don't call Mexico, was for me much more pleasant to stay at than Los Angeles.

Baja California, is just a neigbor of California. It is famous for it's off-road race, and all in Ensenada, where I stayed, is made for it. Garages, services, working places... everything is made to fix your truck or customize the way you want.

The biggest benefit of Ensenada is the food (oh my god, it was really amazing having tapas, practically all day every day) and family solidarity. I loved Mexicans around me and watching at least three generations playing around, cooking together and visiting hot springs for a mountains barbecue!

I have visited Baja in style - by KTM dirt bike, so all atmosphere was even mulitplied by this kind of transport. We did not miss some touristy places as the Blow hole, one of many hot springs around Ensenada, famous Hussongs bar or hikes in the mountains, surrounded by vineyards.

This stop within my world travels was really nice, and I hope to return and do some diving there, next time.
